Paul came to the knowledge of Christ on the Road to Damascus in his endeavour to stamp out Christianity God reached out to him in a way that he would know and understand.

Power and suffering often go hand in hand as we do not really value what we have if we do not experience some pain. Thus to suffer pain can bring much gain.

We share in our daily human suffering to walk the walk that Christ would have us walk.

We do not share the suffering of the cross as HE did this in our place so as we would not have to suffer this pain.

Christ is my 'living' friend as I walk along the journey of my life each day. His footsteps are in the sand as we walk, often mine are not there as he carries me when I am too weak, other times I wonder away till being submerged by the tides of time.

What helps is to stay in tune with the beat of MY journey by reading His word and pondering on where He wants me to be each moment, to come to Him in Prayer and thanks giving. The things that hinder my friendship is my human sins which can separate me from his Love..
